Who we are

This website and job portal are operated by HR Talent Arena (HRTA). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use hrta.ai, why we use it and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, password (stored by our backend, never in your browser) and, if you sign in with Google, LinkedIn or GitHub, the basic profile information that provider shares with us.
• Resume and profile data: CVs you upload (for example PDF or Word files) and the details parsed from them or entered by you, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, languages, projects, addresses and social links.
• Public portfolio: information you choose to publish on your public profile at /candidate/your-username.
• Job applications: the jobs you apply to, the resume and answers you submit and the status of each application.
• Payments: if you buy an optional plan or add-on, payment is processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We receive the transaction record, not your full card details.
• Enquiries and newsletter: details you submit through contact or lead forms, and your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter.
• Technical data: standard server logs such as IP address, browser user agent and device information, used for security, fraud prevention and to recognise the devices signed in to your account.

How we use your information

• To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
• To build your profile and resume, and to let you apply to jobs.
• To share your application, resume and profile with the employer or recruiter you apply to.
• To make your candidate profile discoverable to employers and recruiters searching for talent on HRTA.
• To provide AI features you request, such as resume enhancement, AI-tailored resumes, ATS scoring and the AI Buddy assistant on public profiles.
• To respond to enquiries, send service messages and, if you subscribed, our newsletter.
• To process optional purchases and keep billing records.
• To protect the platform against abuse and meet legal obligations.

AI processing

When you use an AI feature, the relevant text (for example your resume content and, for tailoring, the job description) is processed to generate suggestions, scores or answers. AI output is a suggestion only; you decide what to keep. Employers using HRTA may also use AI to screen and rank applications against their job requirements.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal data.

• Employers and recruiters: when you apply to a job, or when your profile appears in candidate search.
• The public: anything you publish on your public portfolio or company page.
• Service providers who help us run the platform, such as hosting, payment processing, email delivery, sign-in providers and AI processing, only as needed to provide the service.
• Authorities, where required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Data stored in your browser

We store your sign-in token and basic account details in your browser's local storage, and cache some public data (such as job listings and lookup lists) to make pages load faster. A service worker caches static files such as images for offline use. See our Cookie Policy for details.

How long we keep data

We keep your account and profile data while your account is active. Application records may be kept for as long as needed by the employer's hiring process and our legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.

Your choices and rights

• View and edit your profile, resume and public portfolio from your dashboard.
• Request a copy of your data, its correction or its deletion by contacting us.
• Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any newsletter email.
• Sign out at any time, which removes the sign-in data stored in your browser.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No online service can guarantee complete security, so please use a strong, unique password.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
